Glaucoma surgery aims to lower intraocular pressure and prevent further vision loss in patients with glaucoma, a chronic optic neuropathy. The use of advanced surgical instrumentation, such as microscopes, lasers, and shunts, is critical to perform successful glaucoma procedures, including trabeculectomy, tube shunts, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS).
